Two Years!!!!! What the @#&* have you been doing!!!!
So why no update on this site in OVER TWO YEARS! Good question, I’m glad you asked. Basically, I’ve survived. I lost my mother, Alma Shuster on October 6th of 2008, on top of losing my father less than a year earlier. Quite frankly this, combined with a lot of other personal issues, made me want to crawl into a hole and pull the dirt over my head. But, somehow I hung in there and now I’m back…with a vengeance!
I’ve Moved (Sort of!)
Effective immediately, the snail mail address for Sevenacide is:
Robert Shuster DBA Sevenacide
PMB #325
242 S. Washington Blvd.
Sarasota, FL 34236
As far as I’m concerned, I’m still at the same address as always, just the business portion of Sevenacide has moved.
Audio Books
I am now partnering with CoolBeat Audio Books on releasing downloadable audio versions of two of my books: I, Vampire (available now) and Sevenacide (available in late spring 2010). You can purchase these audio books at www.coolbeat.biz . While you’re there, check out the rest of Cool Beat’s eclectic selections as well.
What next?
Right now I have no immediate plans to release any new books. However, do not despair; I am always coming up with new ideas and who knows, one of them might catch fire. I already have several projects in various stages of completion, so bringing these to market (combined with all of the technology out there) can be done quickly. Just be patient, you’ve waited this long, another six months to a year won’t matter. For up-to-the-minute information about my writing projects, go the Sevenacide My Space at www.myspace.com/sevenacide. Send me a friend invite.
Other projects
My acting work is starting to take off. Since my last posting here, I have done a Shakespearean play (The Tempest), and have spent some time performing improv. But the big news is I have just joined the cast of an independent film, Baine, as the title character. This is psychological thriller/horror film that will be filmed in St. Petersburg, FL in late March/early April. No release date has been set, but it looks like it will come out either late this year or early next year, depending on distribution, etc. For more information on this film, go to www.bainethemovie.com .
Retrograde Radio is still going strong, continuing to play the best in classic alternative music from the 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s. You can listen to it on the Radio Ear Network at www.radioearnetwork.com. If you are interested in sponsoring the show, contact Radio Ear and let them know.
To keep up with my comings and goings between postings here, you can go to my My Spaces at:
www.myspace.com/sevenacide - Writing and Sevenacide Publishing
www.myspace.com/retrograderadio - Retrograde Radio
www.myspace.com/rshusteractor - Acting and Performing
That’s all for now. I’ll work on keeping this site a little more current. Who knows, maybe a new book is closer than you might think!

Some final words on 2007…Back to Texas in 2008…Where Can I Get a Copy of the UK Version of Sevenacide?…What’s Up for the rest of 2008?
Some final words on 2007
Just a quick note; I apologize for my absence at the PARC Book Fair on November 16 and 17. This was unavoidable due to the untimely passing of my father, Maurice Shuster, Sr. As far as the rest of 2007 is concerned, it was year full of dizzying highs and gut-wrenching lows. Books were sold, new friends made and old ones were reconnected. However, I am looking forward to getting myself back on track in the coming year.
Back to Texas in 2008
My first convention of the New Year will be in Texas. I will be appearing at the Texas Frightmare Weekend in Dallas/Fort Worth at the Hilton DFW Lakes on February 22-24. As usual I will be in the Dealer Room and surrounded by celebrities. For more information about the convention, go to
http://www.texasfrightmareweekend.com.
Where Can I Get a Copy of the UK Version of Sevenacide?
The latest version of Sevenacide, reformatted, reedited and sporting a new cover, is available now in the UK wherever fine books are sold, including Amazon.com in the UK (http://www.amazon.co.uk). The availability of the book in the US will be limited, so check back here often to find out when and where.
What’s Up for the rest of 2008?
I am looking forward to a productive 2008, but it may be a more behind the scenes year for me. I am planning on bringing out a new book 2008, probably by the end of the year. My convention schedule will be pared back a bit, but I will still be out there (as you can see above). This year I am only going to be at a few select events. So, catch me when you can! For more updates on my writing whereabouts, you can also check out the Sevenacide My Space at
www.myspace.com/sevenacide or on Author’s Den at
http://www.authorsden.com/robertshuster. For my other endeavors, including my acting, my radio show and my mindless (and somewhat inconsistent) postings on my blog, go to
www.robertshuster.com. Take care and best wishes to one and all for a productive and prosperous 2008.

Wild
and Crazy Summer…Return to Necronomicon and Screamfest…What’s Up With
the UK Version of Sevenacide…Vampire Biker Babes: The Movie is
Available…PARC Benefit Signing
Wild and
Crazy Summer
It’s been a roller coaster ride
this year and this summer topped it. I returned from a long weekend in
Indiana to visit family and when I walked in, I found that my neighbor
in the condo next door had a pipe leak and I got some of the spillage.
Long story short is that the second half of my summer has been spent in
Home Improvement Hell. For all of the gory details, go to the blog at
www.robertshuster.com. That’s REAL horror!
Return to Necronomicon and Screamfest
October is shaping up to be a
busy one. I will be returning to two Florida conventions that I
attended last year: Necronomicon and Screamfest. Necronomicon will he
held at the Hyatt Regency Tampa located at 211 North Tampa Street. As
always, I will be in the Dealer Room during the day and all over the
place at night. I will be leaving my table early on Sunday to go to a
screening of a 48 minute version of Vampire Biker Babes in the
Video Room. It will start at around 3:15 and will be the final
presentation for the weekend. For more info about the con, go to
http://stonehill.org/necro.htm .
On October 19-21, I will be at
Screamfest in Orlando, FL at Wyndham Resort at 8001 International
Drive. In addition to my books and tees, I will also have copies of
Vampire Biker Babes DVD’s, along with some cast and crew from the
movie. Also in attendance will be some major names in horror such as
Robert Englund (Freddy from Nightmare on Elm Street), Doug
Bradley (Pinhead from Hellraiser), Gunnar Hansen (the ORIGINAL
Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and many others. For
all the details about Screamfest, go to
http://www.spookyempire.com .
What’s Up With the UK Version of Sevenacide
The UK version of Sevenacide is
done and I am waiting on the final proof. There are also a few other
glitches (such as pricing and promotion…part of the “Marketing P’s”)
that need to be worked out. As soon as it becomes available, I’ll let
everyone know, but it looks like it will be available in time for
Halloween.
Vampire
Biker Babes: The Movie is Available
Vampire Biker Babes, the
movie with yours truly as a featured performer (along with a lot
of…well, bikers and babes) is available now on DVD. To order, go to
www.vampirebikerbabes.com .
PARC
Benefit Signing
I will be doing a
book signing benefit, along with other authors, for the Pinellas
Association for Retarded Citizens (PARC) at 3190 Tyrone Blvd. North, St.
Petersburg, on Friday and Saturday, November 16 and 17, from 10AM to 3PM
both days. A portion of the proceeds go to raise funds for a
Multi-Hazard Shelter for PARC's severely developmentally disabled. For
more information about this event, go to
www.jimsaminc.com and for more information about PARC, go to

Return
to the OASIS…Internet Radio Interview…The Coming UK Invasion…Vampire
Biker Babes Update…And Another *#!?’ing Web Site…
Return to
the OASIS
I will be returning to OASIS
(Orlando Area Science Fiction Society) May 25 - 27, 2007. The
convention will be held at International Plaza Resort and Spa (Formerly
the Sheraton) located at 10100 International Drive in Orlando, Florida.
I will be in the Dealer’s Room selling my books (at a convention special
discount!) and those cool Sevenacide t-shirts, as well as appearing on a
couple of discussion panels throughout the weekend. This is their
twentieth anniversary, so there are going to be lots of extra stuff
going on to celebrate. For more information, visit the convention web
site at
http://oasfis.org/oasis .
Internet
Radio Interview
On June 6th, I will
be interviewed live by Encounter Sarasota, an Internet radio show. The
interview will be part of their regular program and I am scheduled to be
on the air at 8:35 PM EST/USA. The interview will take place live at
The Four Gees Coffee Lounge, 3615 Webber St, Sarasota, FL. To listen on
line, go to
http://www.encountersarasota.com .
The Coming
UK Invasion
Sevenacide is getting ready to
invade the land that invented rugby. Preperations are being made to put
out an edition of Sevenacide for the UK market. Given a second edit and
a new cover, but with the same great stories, Sevenacide is being
prepared for its arrival in book stores (or is it shoppes?) this
summer. How about 7/707???
Vampire
Biker Babes Update
The long awaited release of
Vampire Biker Babes, with yours truly as a featured performer, is in
the final stages before its release. A rough cut has been screened for
the investors and everything is looking good. To keep up with the news
and happenings of the movie while the main web site,
www.vampirebikerbabes.com , is being updated, a My Space has been
opened at
www.myspace.com/vampirebikerbabes .
And
Another *#!?’ing Web Site
I now have one more web site
that you can add to your favorites. It’s
http://sevenacide.ruggerspace.com on
www.ruggerspace.com . This is a my space styled site that’s geared
towards rugby players. I hope to catch with some old teammates and
rugby players and fans.

Personal Appearances for
2007…Celebrating Seven Years of Sevenacide… Other Plans for
2007…Wrap-up of 2006 and Giving Thanks…
Personal Appearances
for 2007
The Thanksgiving turkey hasn’t cooled and the
Christmas tree has been put up, but I’m already planning the Sevenacide
appearance schedule. As of the above date, the following appearances
have been scheduled:
January 26-28, 2007 –
FX/The Florida eXtravganza, Orlando, FL at the Orange County Convention
Center
I’ll be in the Creator’s Alley along with a whole
host of comic book artists and writers, along with dealers selling a
vast array of collectables, gaming, etc. Visit the link at
http://www.fxshow.com for additional information
March 3, 2007–STAPLE!,
Austin, TX, at the Red Oak Ballroom, 2525 West Anderson Lane
This is a one-day event to
promote independent creative media. I’ll be there in the dealer room
along with the creators of self-published comics, zines, art, and
other literature. This is my first show in the great state of Texas,
and my first trip to Austin. The link for this convention is at
http://www.staple-austin.org
Celebrating Seven Years of Sevenacide
It’s hard to believe, but in
2007 it will have been seven years since I took the plunge into the
world of writing, publishing Sevenacide and spawning three more
books (with more to come!). At this point, there are a number of ideas
I’m mulling over for the celebration (since I didn’t do a whole heck of
a lot to celebrate five years!). Regardless, stop by this site
frequently to keep up with any celebration plans.
Other Plans for 2007
So what are my writing plans
for 2007? right now I’m “in the lab”, working on a number of ideas that
I plan to bring out in print in 2007 and beyond. Regardless, it will
stay true to the motto of, “dangerous literature for an unsuspecting
world”. As far as my radio program Retrograde is concerned, I am in the
process of relaunching it sometime after the first of the year. For
more information, go to
www.retrograde-radio.com. For everything else, including my acting
career and my blog, go to
www.robertshuster.com to find out what 2007 holds in store for me.
Wrap-up of 2006 and
Giving Thanks
2006 was a big year for me with the release of
Phase II, the completion of the movie Vampire Biker Babes,
and of course, the addition of more loyal fans. With this in mind I
would like to give thanks for all of the blessings that I have received
this year and all of the blessings to come in 2007.

Last Minute Addition to the Something Wicked Table
E.D Detetcheverrie, the artist for the cover I,
Vampire and fellow author, will be joining me at Something Wicked
This Way Con in Tampa at the Comfort Inn Conference Center, 820 East
Busch Blvd. on November 3-5. E.D.’s latest book, Lighthearted
Darkness will be available for sale at the show. For more
information about Something Wicked (the site appears to be running at
full tilt now) go to
http://carnivaleofhorror.com . E.D. will have artwork in the art
show at Necronomicon in Tampa, at the Tampa Hyatt, the weekend of
October 27-29. E.D. will be there only to drop off artwork, but I will
be in the Dealer Room all weekend. For more information on this
convention, go to
http://stonehill.org/necro.htm .
You can also read about the ongoing adventures of E.D.,
Em and Chris on E.D.’s blog at
http://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewblog.asp?AuthorID=14837 (if you
get lost, just look up E.D. Detetcheverrie at
www.authorsden.com , they can help you from there, plus guide you to
other E.D. related stuff as well).
Vampire Biker Babe Update
It looks like the film is going be
released sometime between Halloween and Thanksgiving (probably closer to
Thanksgiving) of this year. Until then, there are some behind the
scenes clips at
http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=vbbthemovie and click on any of
the growing number of behind the scenes clips. Wish I knew more, but
the You Tube stuff will have to hold you over for now.
The Infamous Beach Ball Short on
You Tube
Also on You Tube is my video short,
The Beach Ball. Check it out at
http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=utubuler . This is short clocks
in at just under three minutes and is full of silent film era
slapstick. No babes, just you’re truly battling man’s age old enemy,
the beach ball.
Phase II
Review
Nick Grabowsky, the author of such
books as Pray, Serpent’s Prey and The Everborn, as well as
the novelized version of Halloween IV, recently posted a review
of Phase II (as well as Sevenacide) on his web site at
http://www.downwarden.com. Also, check out this guy’s work as
well. He’s done everything from horror to co-writing a cute little book
about cats. He’s even doing some film work as well, most recently
directing and writing a horror film called Cutting Edges. And you think
I do a lot of stuff…this guy’s busier than I-4 at the Disney World Exit!
What else is up and going down
For those who are new to this site
(or haven’t been here anytime in the last few years!), to find out the
latest on what’s going on in my performing life and to read my blog, go
to
www.robertshuster.com, and for an update on my soon to be returning
radio show, go to
www.retrograde-radio.com. As far as this site is concerned, I’ll
keep the updates coming and I will be doing a cleanup soon (yeah, you’ve
heard that before!) on the links page and elsewhere on the site.

Attention all of you Sevenacide fans
in those “Sock and Mitten” states (Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin

Vampire Biker Babes update
Vampire Biker Babes is wrapping up
principal photography over the next few weeks. The last of my scenes
will be finished within the week. However, for my director Walt
Jenkins, the hard work has just begun. Now, he is faced with the
daunting task of editing the hours of footage and working with the
computer animation team to create the final product. The find out more
about the progress of the film, go to
www.cyberstreme.com or
www.vampirebikerbabes.com . As of this time, the Halloween release
date looks good, but check the above mentioned web sites for any last
minute announcements.

Phase II
update
Phase II,
my next book is on track to be released sometime in May. The manuscript
is in the process of being edited and the cover in is process. This
book will feature a fight to the finish between soldiers of an Empire
bent on dominating the planet Earth and the always dangerous living
dead, AKA… zombies! The book will list $12.00 a copy and pre-orders are
currently being taken.
Vampire Biker Babes
Update
Vampire
Biker Babes, a horror film in which I have a
major role (Deputy Buddy Riggs) is now officially in production.
Shooting should be completed by early May and the completed film should
be ready by Halloween of this year. For details on the progress of this
film, information on release date and availability, go to
www.cyberstreme.com. I will also be blogging from time to time
during the process at my blog at
www.robertshuster.com.
Blogging
As I
mentioned above, check out my blog on my personal website,
www.robertshuster.com . In addition to my updates about Vampire
Biker Babes, I also have reviews of movies I saw at the recently wrapped
Sarasota Film Festival and other boring tidbits in my otherwise dreary
life. You have been warned…
Finally…PAY PAL!!!
After many
years of dithering, I have brought this site into line with the rest of
the Internet merchants in the 21st Century. I will now be
accepting credit cards via the magic of Pay Pal. This will allow me to
fulfill the orders of all of you late night impulse buyers.
March 15,
2006
Happy (Belated!!!) New Year, World
Horror Convention 2006, Phase II update…and lots of other good stuff!
Happy 2006 everyone! If I waited
much longer, it would be 2007, but better late than never. There’s lots
going on with Sevenacide and my writing.
First, I’m returning to the World
Horror Convention May 11-15, 2006. This year’s convention will be in
San Francisco, CA. It will be my first trip to the “Left Coast” and my
first chance to meet and greet Sevenacide’s West Coast and Pacific Rim
fans. As usual, I’ll be in the Dealer’s Room all day and skulking about
at the parties all night. For more information about the convention, go
to
http://www.whc2006.org .
My second novel and fourth book (has
it been THAT many!), Phase II, is still a work in progress.
What’s it about? In a few words: ALIENS VS. ZOMBIES!!! It will be done
this year, but a release date is still up in the air. However, your
patience will be rewarded with one of the wildest and most entertaining
book I’ve written so far.
Other good stuff is happening as
well. I have been selected by my former college, the University of St.
Francis, to appear in their annual literary magazine, Apostrophe.
For more information, check the English Department web site at
http://www.sf.edu/english .
The new Sevenacide t-shirts are here
and they are black with white lettering, 100% cotton and are available
for $15.00 plus $3.00 postage and handling. They will also be available
at all of my personal appearances.
For other news about my acting,
particularly my upcoming role in the movie Vampire Biker Babes,
go to
www.robertshuster.com and check out my blog, or check the movie
production company site,
www.cyberstreme.com . Also, my radio program, Retrograde, is still
going strong. Go to
www.retrograde-radio.com for updates on that aspect of my life.
Keep checking back: there’s more
good stuff to come…
Update June 3, 2005
The year is
almost half over, yet I feel like it’s been two. Lots of things have
happened so far and more are coming.
I will be at
the
Printers’ Row Book Fair in Chicago on
June 12th from 4-6PM. This through the courtesy of the nice
people at
Twilight Tales, with a special thanks to Eric Cherry, Tina
Jens and Alisa McCune for all of their help in getting this put
together.
Beyond June
12th, the only thing I have planned is some time off to
WRITE!!! After all, that’s what I’m here for. Take care all, and
have a great summer.
Update, May
11, 2005
Still, another
convention…and RobertShuster.com news
Things have been hectic and I’ve
been doing a lot of traveling, so what do I do…another convention. I
will be at Oasis 18 (http://www.oasfis.org/oasis_18.html
), May 27 - 29 in Orlando, FL. I’ll be in the Dealer’s Room most of the
weekend, so stop by and say hello. At this point, I don’t have any
other conventions scheduled, but keep checking back because thing do
change and happen quickly sometimes for me.
As far as RobertShuster.com is
concerned, as the old saying goes, “If it is to be, it’s up to me…”. I
am still in the process of writing text, etc. for the site; however with
my current schedule it’s been difficult. Bear with me and give me
another 30-60 days (you can wait that long!). In addition to linking to
this site and
www.retrograde-radio.com (my weekly radio show, Retrograde), the
site will feature a detailed resume of my performance background. Until
then, you can contact me through either of the above mentioned sites
about my performing background, in addition to my other activities. Who
knows, maybe I’ll even have a blog as well!
Update March
30, 2005
Another
Convention in May, the Hall of Fame in April and coming soon…Robert
Shuster.com and Phase II.
Well, it looks like my travel
schedule for 2005 is filling up fast. In May, I will be making my first
trip to Mobicon in Mobile, AL May 13-15. This is also my first trip
back to the MS/AL/FL Panhandle Gulf Coast in nearly three years. For
more info about the con go to
http://www.mobicon.org. There are other conventions in the works,
but they will be announced as they are confirmed.
Meanwhile, on April 23rd
2005, I will be in Ft. Wayne, IN to be inducted into the University of
St. Francis Athletic Hall of Fame as part of the school’s 1977 MCC
Championship soccer team. For more info on this, you can contact
Juanita McMeeking at 260-434-7500, or go to
http://www.sf.edu/athletics.
I have also succumbed to the
ultimate vanity…my own personal web site. If you want to know more
about my other activities such as acting and radio work, you can go to
www.robertshuster.com . The site should be up and running by
mid-April (depending how quickly I can assemble the content!).
Finally, for those of you wondering
when the next book is coming, all I can say is that I am working on it.
It’s a novel entitled Phase II, and my goal is to have it
finished by the end of the year (as early as Halloween 2005???). I am
currently in negotiations with a cover artist. Stay tuned to this web
site for progress on this project,
Update February 22, 2005
Okay, okay…so it’s been almost a
year! But, it’s worth the wait…
First, this is the 5th
Anniversary of Sevenacide. To celebrate, I’m planning some big things,
so stay tuned to the web page for more information, as it becomes
available.
Next, on the personal appearance
front, there is one major announcement: I will be in New York City April
for the World Horror Convention. For more info, check out their web
site at
http://www.whc2005.org . I will be in the Dealer’s Room for my 3rd
World Horror Convention and my first trip to New York with my books.
Also, I’m working on some new
book(s), stories, projects, etc. I can’t talk about them (yet!), but
you can be assured that I will continue to try to shake up literary
world in my own demented way.
Finally, the Sevenacide web site is
being improved with some new features, more links, and better features.
As I said before, stay tuned to the web page for more details as they
become available.

Update-January

First, due to
circumstances beyond my control, the release of I, Vampire has been put on
hold indefinitely. Check back to this site frequently, and I will keep
everybody posted on the release date.
Second, I had a wonderful

with more people in the Horror/Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre, as well as with some
old friends from the Washington, D.C. area.
Finally, I will be in

Mid-Year Report???
I know the year is more than half
over…BUT I’VE BEEN BUSY, ALRIGHT!
First, The 13 Colonies is off to
a blazing start. I will be promoting it at Horrorfind Weekend http://www.horrorfindweekend.com/ in Baltimore, MD
August 23-25 sponsored by Horrorfind.com http://www.horrorfind.com/. I am also scheduled to
appear at my alma mater, University of St. Francis http://www.sf.edu/alumni/events.shtml October 11-13.
Second, I am now the host of my own radio show called Retrograde
every Monday at 9:00 PM (EST), on WTMY (1280 AM) in Sarasota, FL. I play
punk/new wave/alternative from the 70’s, 80’s and early 90's. Stop by the
website for details as the show develops.
However, along with the
good, I must also bring you the bad. I, Vampire, my first novel, is still
a work in progress. Release of the book has postponed indefinitely. Should
this change, I will update my website accordingly.
I’d like to
thank everyone for their support all along the way. Remember, the best is
yet to be!
What’s New for
2002 The year is off to a blinding start,
with lots of changes. First, Sevenacide is no longer just a bunch of dead
rugby players! It has evolved into the exclusive publishing entity for my
works. Two books are already in process, The 13 Colonies and I, Vampire.
There is also a collection of my literary works, Mind’s Eye Vision, due
for release before the year is out.
My personal appearance schedule
will not be as extensive as in past years, however I am currently
committed to the following schedule: Coast Con XXV – Biloxi, MS/March
15-17 http://www.coastcon.org/ World Horror Convention 2002 – Chicago, IL/April 11-14
http://www.whc2002.org/ As always, check back here for more updates as they
happen!

Seattle/Anglicon and World
Horror Con A whirlwind trip to the Great
Northwest! My first stop was Anglicon at the SeaTac Raddisson. Though this
was a small Con, sales were brisk and I had a great time. Special thanks
to Conrad and Jane of Lady Janes Books, Heather Alexander and her merry
band of gypsies, Margie and everyone on the Anglicon staff. The next
stop was Seattle itself for a little sightseeing, as well a visit to a
bookstore or two. Then, it was off to the World Horror Convention at the
SeaTac Marriot. This was a flurry of publishers, booksellers and lovers of
horror. Though space doesnít permit me to go in detail, I would like to
thank the staff at the World Horror Con and best wishes to all of the
writers and publishers I met. I look forward to seeing everybody again
soon!

CoastCon
XXIV: Two words - THANK YOU! A great time
with some wonderful people. I did a reading, sold some books, and was
treated like royalty. Best of all, only minimal losses were suffered at
the gaming tables. Shouts to Coffee Shop of
Horrors (a damn good cup of coffee), Steve, Tricia and the rest of
the CoastCon staff, the merry men from CUDZU (thanks for the libations!), Dawn Marie (great party
games!), the folks of Fantasm (see ya in April!), Larry Bagby & Danny Strong (from
Buffy the Vampire Slayer), alien impersonator Bill Blair, Antarctica vs.
the World & C.O.G, Suzy at Chessex, Mike and all the other drivers at Transwest/Elite
(thanks for the limo!), PJ (thanks for table decoration) and everyone
who gave me support at CoastCon. Finally, I would like to thank the
Beau Rivage for a pleasant stay (things go better with
electricity!)

hop everybody had a great 2000. This has been a busy year for me both with
Sevenacide, as well as with other projects. Much like a Flea Market pro
wrestler, I'm planning more appearances on behalf of Sevenacide. I'm also
preparing another literary release for later this year, so stop by the
website often and stay tuned!

WHAT WAS NEW IN 2000...
Cape Fear 7's - July 1-2, 2000 My first book signing; what an
adventure! It was a 1400-mile round trip pilgrimage to one of the United
States top seven-a-side tournaments. Many thanks to the Cape Fear Rugby
Club; who provided the hospitality and the atmosphere to get me off to a
rousing start. But, the most important thing learned from this trip was
not to be shy. Or, as The Chief would say, "It's easier to beg for
forgiveness than to ask for permission".
Shamrock 7's - July 15, 2000 Another seven-a-side (Do I detect a
theme??) tournament, this time in Washington, D.C. Well, not exactly in
Washington, it was out in Manasas, Virginia, but hey, it's close. Anyway,
I had a chance to hang out with some of my former teammates with the
Washington Irish, watch some more rugby, and promote Sevenacide. Much
thanks to the Washington Irish, El Presidente Antonio, the guys from
Western Suburbs RFC, and especially to my bud Carol for providing valuable
assistance and much appreciated karma.
Upcoming Book Signings 8/26/00 - Sarasota Polo Grounds, 8201 Polo Club Lane,
Sarasota, Florida at the Sarasota 10's Tournament from 10 am - 4
pm.
9/24/00 - Churchill's, 1816 South Osprey, Sarasota, FL from
1:00 PM until 4:00 PM. There will also be current and past members of the
Sarasota Red Tide Rugby Club on hand, as well as rugby videos.
Complimentary refreshments will be served. More dates will be announced
as they are scheduled. Keep checking here for future updates. See you at
the matches!
10/22/00 - Circle Books, 478 John Ringling Blvd.,
Sarasota, Florida (off St. Armands Circle) from 1 pm - 3
pm.
11/10/00 -
11/12/00 - Tropicon XIX, The Clarion Hotel, 4000 South Ocean Drive,
